Children Shot In Humble
Two children were shot in Humble on Monday (9/26/16) evening near the corner of Grand Linden Ct & Kennemer Dr.
At around 6:13 PM, on 9/26/16, Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Deputies were dispatched to the 21200 block of Grand Linden Ct. after several 9-1-1 calls came in about a disturbance/shots fired.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered there were 3 injuries total. An 11 and 6 year old were both shot in the leg, and the third victim (16) had an ankle injury (not shot). The 2 youngest victims were Life-Flighted to the hospital, and the oldest was taken by ambulance. None of their injuries were life-threatening.
Several suspects/witnesses were detained and questioned.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office is still investigating, but initial reports from deputies point to a gang-related shooting stemming from an altercation.
