Unfortunately this is old news. In most ghettos i am familiar with more dead bodies from overdose were found than all the others.

Between 40,000 and 50,000? Tragic....

But still not as many preventables as Medical Errors at an embarrassing 250,000 per year....

@EddyFree Wow that is eye opening. 251K dead people because of accidents in the medical field and not a peep out of anyone. A police officer makes a mistake and cities explode. The only difference I see is one field has malpractice insurance...

I've seen so many documentaries on these and these kids are now getting addicted to heroine in high school. It's happening mostly in rural America. This stands out from the article:
"Drug deaths have disproportionately hit small towns and rural America, mainly in Appalachia and in the Southwest, far away from the eye of the national media."

@Smokeybear :

Hey, that's a heck of an idea...Maybe you should start a small business selling Malpractice Insurance to police nationwide...Just make sure you aren't under capitalized and you're good to go I've heard....Loading Image...

That Meth is a monster too...Not only does it kill, it turns many of its users into mega-thieves...You wanna get high? Fine with me, that's your body....But I'll be damned if you're gonna steal my stuff to do it...

You can thank the rise in Heroine and Meth addiction. When people are allowed to openly sell drugs with really no consequences, this is what happens. We have a 24/7 weed sales group on my street and a cop lives 3 doors down from them. You should see the traffic.

@chasinghosts :

Maybe the cop is getting a special purchase price to ignore it?

@TSUalum05 I'm curious about this. Look at what has been happening in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Northern KY, not rural. I would wonder how kids in rural areas support this thought. They would have to have some means to get money to support their habits. I'm just asking for clarification that's all. I think the affected areas like West VA, and Apalachia may be more related to Pill form Opioids than from Heroine. They would be more easily obtainable to them.
Heroine has been a long standing problem in New Hampshire since the 70's coming out of New York City. That and alot of old addicts moved up there to be less trasnparent.

Yes, not only in ghetto's. I get a daily email from my hometown sheriff's dept. with mugshots of daily bookings. I am amazed , the entire area served only has a population of 26,000 or so.

@chasinghosts There may be a few renegades but for the most part I think people in the medical profession don't intentionally try to cause harm.
