You can't even have this in middle school.

So honey boo-boo.

As a parent, you should always put your child in a positive light. Why make a mockery of them?

My 7 year old DD would be jealous of her long blue hair as she looks like a mermaid! She frequently asks me to "paint" her hair to look like either a mermaid or Shimmer and Shine, lol...

The child wanted her hair dyed. I dont think the mother made a mockery out of her daughter. If her daughter likes her hair that way what is the big deal. She wasnt held down and made to get her har colored. Unlike parents that have their babies ears pireced.

There was a little girl at the school where I worked with long black hair...her mom dyed thin strands of sage green, beige, dark red, and dark purple in her hair. It was subtle and very pretty. Not sure about the full on blue...maybe in the summer for fun.

@nikkiole

Thank you. Amazing how many people feel the urge to be so judgmental of a child. At least when I make fun of other people's children I only do it in my head and not online.

Let's see, if you put it out in a public forum then it is open for discussion. And then YOU judge someone for having an opinion. Well you had an opinion too and trust me, your opinion does not outweigh my opinion.

It would be like using the profile pic of a an actress and thinking you look like her. You don't!

She looks like Rainbow Dash. Better not show this to my daughter.

I don't think I would let my daughter do such a dramatic look but it's her kid. As long as she isn't abusing her then that's her business.

I think most little girls would love to dye their hair some crazy bright colors...mine absolutely would have at that age. Would I do it? No.

This dye is temporary, so I don't see what the big hoo-ha is all about. This isn't any different of a concept than the brightly colored hair chalk or the colored hairsprays that girls use.

All I can figure is it must have been a sloooooooow news day where ever this was reported.
