Cleaning pantry and discovered four little jello boxes hiding on the canned good shelf. Not sure why they jumped down there but they all have a "best by" date.... & of course, they no longer are "best". Does dry jello really expire?
I've always been told the best buy date is more of a suggestion. I usually don't use food past that date but I have.. like Ramen noodles. I would think they'd still be okay unless you are talking a year or more.
@TheCatsMeow They might take a little off or not jell but I would try it. That being said I am doing the same thing here and I just threw away a ton of tea sealed but I think it has been here forever.
@ladybeachbum So true, I have pulled a package of meat from the freezer unlabeled and unidentifiable. Into a casserole dish with some marinara sauce and provolone on top.....good to go 🍽
