I doubt it.......saying that if you go to nurse with it and child goes to nurse to get it otherwise it would be considered drugs! That is a no no!!! My daughter would get severe headaches and need to take more than allowed I had to get a dr's note saying it was ok to double the dosage if needed, which I did and she went to the nurse even in HS.

No. It all has to go through the nurse.

So a vitamin (which is basically food) is not okay, but the nonfood crap in the cafeteria is?
This is what is wrong with the world today.

They are not allowed to unless through the nurse - but my DD in AHS gets migraines and she carries OTC stuff in her purse. If she ever gets in trouble w it well I will deal w it. But I don't see why at that age they need to go to the nurse for an Advil for a headache or cramps! Other RX meds yes I see as going to nurse - but a vitamin or Advil to me is a waste of time to have to go ask to get out of class and go when they are in HS!

If they allowed taking vitamins at school, all of the druggies would be grinding up their X and putting it in empty vitamin capsules.

If she gets caught she will get in big trouble....Not saying she will but if she gives it to a friend or acquaintance and they get sick she goes to A/C so if you are letting her make sure she hide it well and in original container but really the trouble is not worth it go to the nurse only one **** off friend and shes in hot water!

@carol888
I know you are right- but some things are just asinine to me by just principal alone. She can drive to school, and has other adult responsibilities but has to ask permission for an Advil. Sorry.. It just makes me roll my eyes!

@carol888 That is why you don't tell anyone you have it.

Not too long ago, I had teachers ask me for Tylenol.

The kids that are stupid enough to take others adderall and Xanax or other drugs are not having a hard time getting these drugs weather in school or out. If they want them they will always find a way reguardless on both ends of buying and selling.

There is the zero tolerance for all medicines including over the counter ones. Do not let her take it in her purse she can get into more trouble than it's worth. They also have dogs they take through and sniff the lockers and cars periodically during the year. I don't know if they can smell Tylenol or not 😕
