Would I be wrong to summize that the businesses around here must be bankin if so many of them can elect to be closed on Sunday? Yes, day of rest, I know but that hasn't stopped the whole world from becoming available for consumerism almost 24/7. My husband thinks everyone around here is super hung up on the religious reason to be closed, period. I'm skeptical. It's not as if Christianity and all of it's practices don't exist outside of Atascocita, Tx. Still trying to figure out how this area ticks. I get the indication that big oil employment is a significant contributor to the economic prosperity around here.

Other than Chic-Fil-a, and Hobby Lobby, I can recall any other retail businesses that are closed on Sunday's. Those two are closed on Sunday's throughout the US, not just Atascocita. It's part of their business model.

I do know that other places open later and close earlier on Sunday, (like the mall) but that's not exclusive to this area either.

What other places have you come across that weren't open on Sunday?

On one hand it would be nice for places like discount to be open but on the other hand it's church day and a day to prepare for the week.

Oh and freaking haircut places!!! Working parents have Saturday and Sunday to take care of stuff and these businesses make it really hard for us to give them our money.

They work like a really short day - 10-3 or something depending on which one.
