@hutch5801 Was fine until they took the needle out and said now lift your arm. Everything went south from there! Low BP, nausea, sweats, etc..... Think I passed out too. I did not eat enough PROTEIN before I went. Having a good breakfast and meal the night before was not enough. I needed more protein they had said! My kids brought me home and took care of me. I am fine and dandy now with a huge bruise on my right arm.
That is the Second time that has happened out of the 6 times I have donated blood. I think this is telling me to not do it anymore!

I have my jeans and sandals on (we are casual on Fridays) and I'm SOOOOO happy it's FRIDAY!What are everyone's plans? We are playing D&D on Saturday. I am making ham/cheese sliders, the ones on Hawaiian buns. YUM.Sunday we are doing nothing. Kids are back with their Dad, so it's two weeks of "US" time.

@Cabin_Mama :Do you brush that delicious melted butter/dijon/worcestershire/poppy seed stuff on the tops and bake them? Those things are the bomb! There's also a Monte Cristo version that's awesome (ham/turkey/swiss/American), but the stuff you brush on top has a beaten egg in the mix, then baked...served sprinkled with powdered sugar on top and raspberry preserves on the side.

Yes the butter/Dijon/worceserhereihre;h ( I can never spell that word!) but I like caraway seeds instead of poppy seeds. I made it one time that way because I didn't have poppy seeds and decided I like it even better. The caraway seeds with the sweet of the ham is so good.

@Cabin_MamaWe always make a huge batch of some version of these during football season...it's the fastest, easiest way to feed a crowd and they're ALWAYS the first thing to go! 👌ETA: Another kind I make sometimes is with roast beef (the Boar's Head pink/rare stuff), caramelized onions and Bleu cheese crumbles, but I add a bunch of horseradish to the brush mixture.

Oooh roast beast sounds lovely. I don't do horse radish but could totally sub in some kind of mayo based something.
