PrimePantry

Anyone else use Amazon's PrimePantry? I do all the time...many things I buy regularly are way cheaper at Amazon, especially with the digital coupons. I usually order when there's a free shipping code (normally, a "box" is a flat $5.99 ship fee, even for Prime members).

I'm in the process of filling up a box now and it dawned on me that I have become obsessed with filling my boxes to exactly 100%...not 96.9%...not 98.1%. Last time I ordered, I was at 99.8% and I literally went and threw in a $.59 seasoning packet that said it would fill .2% of my box just to get to 100%. Emoticon

That meatloaf seasoning packet is still sitting in my spice cabinet at home. Emoticon

I don't buy from Pantry. I'm **** that my Prime membership doesn't cover shipping for that also.

I hate paying for shipping, too. They have free ship codes all the time for Pantry, though!

@brightlights
I have a pantry credit. I looked at it but didn't find enough stuff to buy. Guess I will look again. I was wondering if anyone actually bought from pantry.

Thanks for posting!

A lot of the cleaning/laundry products and toiletry type products we use are way cheaper in Pantry. I have no problem filling a box! Emoticon

I am intrigued by this...I dread going to the grocery store and often wondered if I could just do the at home delivery.
But then I would become a hermit, and I don't want that either.
...HEB, here I come.

Isn't HEB about to roll out the online thing? Where you order all of your groceries online, then roll up and some nice young man loads them into your car and you drive off? THE Kroger in Kingwood already has this service.

I could be down with that some days! Emoticon

Yes! That is what I heard. I didn't know if we had it here or not.
I always went to HEB after 5. Went this week middle of day and it is just as crowded. Is there ever a good time to go?
I did notice it was more "gentley older" patrons in there and young moms with children.
....and I was one of them.

The only downside to the online process is that I'm kind of picky about my produce and fresh meats...I'm not sure I could trust someone else to pick them out for me.

So do you have to be a member? Or something because some of the cleaning products and TP look like good deals. Although I have been fired from grocery shopping as I can't stick to the list. DH took it over when I couldn't stick to the list by myself, with a tattle tale or him.

I found that I too was just trying to fill the box and that I save more by just going to the market and staying on my list.
