Seriously, do you think Obama would be ok with males in his daughters gym locker room or bathroom? NO!

When you live with tons of security and in gated Communities it is easy to make rules for "the other people". This whole topic if hogwash and for him to do that is beyond anything I have ever seen. Chief Bully in Charge!

I have said before I don't agree with this directive. However presidents have to make political decisions that might differ from their personal beliefs. So to ask the question would he be ok with males in his daughters gym locker is of no consequence.

As the leader of his administration and political party he had to pick a side. Politically his advisors and party officials determined this course of action was the right one to take.

Purely speculative. This is a manufactured crises ...or " A solution in search of a problem".

YouTube is full of videos about Michelle being born a male so maybe this is more personal to him than we think.

With a Nation collapsing around him, he has this to worry about? Nah....

It is speculation as I wasn't invited to the meeting. What I can is my theory has some basis in fact in regards to presidential decision making. He could have been completely for the idea or had some concerns. Either way he had to make a definitive decision.

As for a manufactured crisis I don't think so. As states began passing laws on this issue the administration was forced to address it. I will make another speculation in that since this is a presidential election year they probably would have preferred no to touch it with a ten foot pole. But time and circumstance did not afford them that option.

The President has no standing on this issue with schools, which is leading to these lawsuits by States. The President has decided to make an issue that is not an issue...Who wins? This is his way to keep division among the citizens.

I suppose whether he does or doesn't will be decided by the courts now. I guess to be perfectly accurate it's the Justice Department that is bringing the mandate. In any event they obviously have lawyers that believe they are well within their scope of authority - we'll see.

*Edit*

This is another example of a political leader, in this case Paul Ryan, being forced to address the LGBT issue when he'd really rather not.

The Justice department acts by political persuasion, established by its current Administrator. Come on you know that.

Hmm, I can't agree with that. Nixon for example wanted his Justice Department to do things that the AG simply would not. Certainly the AG will listen to the president that goes without saying. However once appointed if they have any integrity they will act independently.

To think otherwise we might as well say the SC is rigged because the Justices will not be fair in their rulings as they will do the bidding of the political party of the president that appointed them.

Supreme Court is no different. Unfortunately, integrity is the exception in Government, as I have come to learn in my near 50 years.
