High School Student Shows His Junk in Yearbook

69 misdemeanor counts and 1 felony count! Let this be a lesson, kids! Emoticon

-----

PHOENIX (Reuters) - An Arizona student who showed his penis in his football team’s photograph was arrested briefly after his high school unwittingly sent the image to hundreds of his Phoenix-area classmates as part of its yearbook, officials said on Monday.

The student, Hunter Osborn, 19, told police he was acting on a dare from another football player when court documents said “he exposed his penis through the top of his waistband of his football uniform pants.”

Osborn, released from custody on Sunday after being arrested the day earlier, faces 69 counts of misdemeanor indecent exposure and one count of felony furnishing harmful items to minors, according to Mesa police spokesman Steve Berry and jail records.

Osborn could not immediately be reached for comment. He told police in an interview that he knowingly exposed himself but was “disgusted by what he had done.”

Another article stated he did it on a dare from his teammates. There were others somewhat involved. Stupid HS prank but lasting consequences

@Smokeybear It mentions the dare in this article as well.

I think it's kind of ridiculous to ruin this kid's life over it, though. He is in jeopardy of having to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life. Emoticon I hope he gets a good attorney!

So it was a very stupid thing to do , but do you really destroy a kids life over this ? Has this picture really damaged a childs life forever because they saw a penis ? I would hope parents taught sex education in their home long before their kids got to high school .

@brightlights
I noticed the separation also. The his was very poor judgement on his part, but I also think there is a DA a bit out of comtrol here.

I think that is the beginning of the problem- we treat 19 year olds as children, when in fact not too many generations ago, they would have been fully functioning adults!

The honesty of youth has brought him down...He should have claimed "wardrobe malfunction" like all the celebrities do and he'd be off the hook...

So, have you made sure to tell your kids not to show their junk in a school picture? This might be a good talk opportunity. Today you can not assume they know better.
