Has anyone had issues with CAM (Community Asset Management) who represents the HOA for Walden On Lake Houston and other local subdivisions?
We have had issues with CAM sending our yearly HOA bill to the wrong address and then trying to charge us extra for missing the yearly payment!

@doberman They have done the same to me. I never get bills and if you call you can never get in contact with anyone. They don't call back and rarely answer emails.

Yes your suppose to get a bill. But if you know you owe money on a certain date why would you think you didn't need to pay it because you didn't receive a paper bill?

Thanks for your response. We have no issue with making payment (and have) but a billing statement is helpful to remind you. One payment per year is somewhat easy to forget and if you do forget, the interest charges and other fees they tack on very quickly are much greater than any other type of bill of its kind. If everyone else in the neighborhood gets a statement, we should have the same consideration. @inkpad321

Thanks for replying. Were you able to have the extra fees removed? @Blackhorse77

@doberman We pay to have that statement sent to us out of our fee it is in the budget so we should get it. We also pay their salary to a certain degree we deserve a timely response from them but never get it. I agree with you 100%

Yeah, just a little extra attention to their bussiness practices would make it better for the residents. @macdaddy

Problems with CAM. There is not enough space in this forum to tell you about problems with CAM. They are no better than Sterling.

I had a lot going on and it slipped my mind. Ours is due at Christmas time so I usually don't forget. Our dues have gone up every year too. For what I don't know but I didn't have the exact amount paid. There was a fee but I was only a couple weeks late. I paid the fees it was only a few dollars. Not worth fighting them for really

Trust me. Anyone would be better than dealing with the staff with Sterling in the Kingwood office.
