I went for a bike ride today, it was a love/hate experience.

I loved peddling with the wind.

Against the wind, not so much.

It is pretty calm at the beach but was windy late afternoon yesterday. It is a beautiful day and I hate to pack up and go home.

Dew points are in very low double or single digits out there. By that parameter, we are drier than Death Valley and Las Vegas, just to name a few places. Relative humidity is extremely low. This coupled with moderate winds are very drying.

Be careful with open fires and keep the lotions/lip balm handy. If exercising outside, the evaporation rate will be extremely high, so hit the fluids a bit more than usual as skin perspiration will be less perceptible.

That explains the sinus headache. Went hiking yesterday and could not get enough water last night once we were back home.

@Cabin_Mama Yeah, this would very well explain that. A steam bath/shower can help introduce some moisture into the sinus cavities, until you can catch up on fluids a bit more. Though, you wouldn't want to stay in very long as that will be drying for your skin due to loss of oils. Probably better to breathe it in via a pot of near-boiling water on the stove, or saline sprays.

The handy dandy humidifier that most all of us have for sick kiddos will help, too.
