According to TXDOT - Houston, crews will be removing barricades, equipment, etc.. today/tonight from the section between 290 & 45. 5AM is the target time. Motorists will now be able to go from here (45) all the way to 59 on the southwest side.

Too bad all that money is being spent on that and 1960 continues to be a cluster you-know-what and a death trap. Hopefully the rumors are true and the widening will begin soon. (Not that living through 2 years of construction hell is anything worth looking forward to.)
