Good question - smart man to plan ahead! Silken Body Day Spa

I don't have anywhere to suggest, as I do my own. But, choose a place where she can buy/bring her own set of implements....it decreases the chance of fungal cross-contamination from shared and improperly sterilized clippers, etc.

Same here I do my own, received the full Amope' line for Christmas and I'm loving it. That's not to say I wouldn't enjoy a day at the spa.for the relaxation, no favorites there are several good ones, I've been to Silken it's pretty good.

Just a suggestion or advice when buying a gift of mani or pedi. -Please do.not use a groupon during holiday, it takes forever to book.
-It really doesnt matter where Sally, Sue or Betty do their nails. If I have gotten use to my place, get the cert there.
-if you are wanting to get some where different...upgrade my usual spot. Send me to Urban Retreat...etc.--Dont let the lady sucker you into a massage, hair... if all they really do is nails.Just my thoughts. Oh to answer op, I go downtown. Rumor Has it, Gray Nails, Urban Retreat.

Did I read that right, the lady doing nails wants to do hair? Oh no way, I'm super picky when it comes to my hair. Excuse me, hair was mentioned.

@bap :My husband was suckered one year. I am a black lady, and he went to a "day spa" that sold him a shampoo and blow dry. When I went there you could tell no one knew or wanted to "try" on my hair.

Mmmhmmm. He spent over $300 on a package deal. She was trying to get me to do another service another day. They didnt know.I was black...lol and usually it cost more My husband looked black when you sold it.I said, "no, you sold it to him, I dont care you are going to blow this out"I looked like a hot mess when i left but i did my day.

I made them do it because they would not give me a refund on the hair portion. They said no refund

You are far more nice than me, don't mess up my hair if they seem incompetent in the least, I will not let them touch me..you should have been refunded or offered an alternative service instead. That is one of the problems with some of the privately owned salons and spas, less accountability. Now that I think of it, there are not many full service spas in Atascocita, if there is a gem, someone on here must know, please tell.It wasn't me, I didn't give beach the mad face..lolol !

You can't be too big to get a pedicure....

My friend has been going for a long time to the nail place over by the Atascocita Tuesday Morning, Sammi's (sp?). She likes it and has never had a problem.

I have gone to MV nails for many years & I use the owner to do my nails ( Nancy )281-812-2970. She does a beautiful job! I use who ever can do my pedi while I'm getting my finger nails done . They are in the Kroger shopping center next to the flooring store .
