Awards Extravaganza Honors Citizen of the Year, Celebrates Chamber Year in Review - Atascocita

The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Extravaganza,
presented by Insperity, will honor the 2014 Dr. Haden McKay, MD Citizen
of the Year recipient, Norman Funderburk, as well as celebrate the past
years' outstanding volunteer leaders and accomplishments. The Lake
Houston Area community is invited to attend as the Chamber celebrates 90
years of nurturing business growth from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, January
23 at The Overlook in Atascocita.
This premier event will feature
the presentation of the Citizen of the Year Award, Spirit of the
Chamber Award, Rising Star Award and Chairman's Award. The outgoing
Chairman of the Board, 2014 Board of Directors and 2014 committees,
event and task force chairs will be honored. Attendees will also enjoy
viewing the Chamber�s Annual Video, a culmination of 2014�s successes,
programs, events and community involvement.
Single reserved seats
are $50. Two reserved seats are $100 and a Reserved Table of eight with
corporate identification is $450. Reservation and cancellation deadline
is Monday, January 19.
The Haden McKay, MD Citizen of the Year
Award recognizes selfless public service by an individual, performed by
the recipient on his/her own time and not in the regular course of
earning his/her living or advancing himself/herself professionally.
Nominations were sent out to the community in October. Past recipients
of the award then voted on the nominees whereby Funderburk was chosen as
the recipient for the honor.
The Annual Awards Extravaganza is
