SUMMER CAMPS 2013
EARLY CHILDHOOD (3-6 year-old) Summer Program
Ages: 3-6 years
Hours: 8:30 AM - 12 pm OR 8:30 AM - 3 PM / 3-Day and 5-Day programs.
Dates (weekly): Jun 17-21, Jun 24-28, Jul 8-12, Jul 15-19, Jul 22-26, Jul 29-Aug 2, Aug 5-9
The goal of our Early Childhood Summer Classes for 3-6 year-olds is to provide a relaxed and interesting environment. The classes can be used for care throughout the summer or for a short session of enrichment. Each session has a special focus within the regular Montessori class environment. Children 3 to 6 years old can attend half days or full days, with 3-day and 5-day programs available.

AMERICAN ROBOTICS ACADEMY- Imagination Technology Teamwork
Hours: Half days: 9 AM -12 PM / 1 PM - 4 PM OR Full days: 9 am - 4 PM.
Dates: Weekly June 10 - Aug 23 (except the week of July 4th)
Students can bring a sack lunch and stay all day.
American Robotics Academy - Create... Evolve... Rule...
What does it take to create a remote-controlled robot that can walk, roll, climb and steer in multiple directions? Throw or launch a ball on command? Move, operate and act as YOUR TEAM designs, creates and builds them? Our camps are designed to excite, inspire and motivate young minds about the importance, impact and fun of robotics technology in today’s world. We aim to stimulate students’ imagination and creativity by encouraging them to explore, build and express confidence and independence through our hands-on interactive robotics program. For children 6 and up. We offer half day and full day sessions.

In partnership with Invent Now, Kingwood Montessori School is pleased to offer the nationally-acclaimed Camp Invention program to children entering grades 1-6 this summer. This exciting, week-long adventure in creativity immerses children in imaginative play that reinforces and supplements school-year learning in the subjects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). Children will work together to seek innovative solutions to real-world challenges and sharpen critical 21st century learning skills such as teamwork and creative problem solving as they rotate through four modules each day that disguise learning as fun. FINE ART COLLEGE EXPERIENCE
Ages 9-19 years
Hours 9 am - 3 pm
Dates (weekly): June 10-14, June 17-21, July 22-26, Jul 28-Aug 2
This unusual Fine Art Camp is designed for 9 to 19 year-old students with a strong talent, passion and interest in pursuing a rigorous art study. Students should be able to work independently and concentrate for long periods of time. Inspired by the History of Art, students develop their drawing, painting and creative personal styles. They will study a broad spectrum of artistic genres and techniques through the use of a sketchbook and photography to develop their own original ideas. Taught by our very own Kate Broughton, your student will benefit from Kate's British training, love of art and passion for teaching.
WOW Summer Camps! Worlds of Wonder by The Whole Child Learning Company
Ages: 5-8 or 8-12 years
Hours: 9 am - 12 pm or 1-4, depending on the program

Our diverse offering delivers hands-on learning and fun! Worlds of Wonder – WOW camps are the newest offering by The Whole Child Learning Company. WOW camps include a variety of S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology. Education and Math) topics including sessions on Insects, Chemistry, and Engineering as well as Creative Writing and Spanish. Camps are designed for students ages 5-12, depending on the the session. All camps are taught by experienced and passionate educators. These camps will kindle your child's natural love of learning.
