New Planned Community NE of Atascocita

The Timbers development, put in motion by the Signorelli Co., will be presented to the City of Houston on July 9th. The 2,700 acre project will follow the proposed Grand Parkway, which would connect Hwy 59 and I-10. The plan calls for dozens of neighborhoods, schools, parks, and other community amenities to be developed, and also has acreage set aside for multifamily homes and commercial property.

If the Grand Parkway is open, it might not be to bad. Finishing out West Lake Houston will probably have a bigger impact on our area.

When I moved here West Lake Houston dead end at AMS.

That was it.
Summerwood was nothing but swamp and we said who in the world would even build out here.
Brookshire Brothers was the store and Union Planters Bank or was it Atascocita Bank?
See, it has been that long.

When I came, West Lake Houston was woods, no bridge to Kingwood. very little Pinehurst.

I was told Huffman and Crosby didn't want their towns developed. Wanted to keep that small town everybody knows everybody theme. Well so much for that.

looking at the progress of the Grand Parkway on the west side , I doubt if it will be anywhere near a 50 year project. But I think Exxon had something to do with that.
