Looking forward to having a store close to us in Eagle Springs where we can get grocery items we need in a hurry at a good price.

Don't expect too much variety. I not happy with the little WalMart here in Kingwood, it's OK for staples but you still need to shop at a real Grocery store. Plus they are notorious for doing away with products.

As much as I dislike Walmart, and the process of going there, I may try this new place when I need something fast and quick. I was against it going in in the first place, but what's done is done. I did see that they gave some money to Eagle Springs Elementary (my kid's school) so I guess I can show some support, however, I will still do the bulk of my everyday shopping at HEB, Target, and Trader Joe's.

part of article discussing new retail space opening in Houston in 2015 about grocery stores

Supermarkets will dominate new retail construction, representing 43 percent of the year's growth. Thirty-two new stores are planned. HEB will open seven; Kroger will open four and expand two; Walmart will open four neighborhood market stores; Whole Foods and Sprouts will each add two; Fiesta and Trader Joe’s will each open one; and relative newcomer ALDI will add eleven 18,000-sf stores to the market.
