Woodlands Hills Dr Project UnderwayCommissioner Jack Morman has started phase one of construction on the Woodland Hills Drive project. The $1.1 million improvement includes the addition of a two- lane concrete section to the existing roadway resulting in a complete four-lane boulevard from Beltway 8 to near Ridge Creek Elementary. “This portion of the two-phased project is expected to be complete in the second quarter of 2017,” said Commissioner Morman.Phase two of the project includes the construction of a new four-lane concrete boulevard from Ridge Creek Elementary heading north to the Atascocita Forest subdivision, as well as the construction of a four-lane bridge over Williams Gully. Currently estimated at $9.5 million, the joint effort between Harris County Precincts 2 and 4 is expected to be complete and open to the Beltway in the fourth quarter of 2017.Woodland Hills Drive is one of the many projects Precinct 2 is working on to improve mobility throughout the Atascocita area.
