Generation Park Update
Activity in Generation Park is moving right along...and it's only February. Here is an inside look at some of the action in the first phase of the 4,000-acre master planned enterprise park.
Last week, construction crews broke ground on Redemption Square, a 52-acre mixed-use corporate lifestyle district. Redemption Square will feature Class A offices, hotels, restaurants, shops, and practical services and boast incredible pedestrian friendliness. They are also about to break ground on Redemption Square One, a 5-story, 85,000 square foot mixed-use building that will share Square frontage with an internationally-known hotel and a corporate office headquarters. Limited office and retail space is still available.
The water wall is flowing, the 3/4 mile walking path is being used, and landscaping is about to be installed. They will let everyone know as soon as the last tree is planted so you can take a stroll and enjoy the beautiful 20-acre West Lake.
In partnership with the county, they are nearing completion of the Lockwood Road expansion project which will better serve the businesses that locate at Generation Park as well as the surrounding community. Formerly a two lane county road, Lockwood Road will be a four lane divided boulevard when completed this summer.
Also, there are no telephone poles! All utilities are delivered underground at Generation Park, offering better views and more importantly greater reliability. The last of the telephone poles came down at the end of last year.
