The AHS Class of 2015 needs your help! I don't post often, but I lurk enough to know that you have your fingers on the pulse of this community.

Due to an unfortunate situation, some members of the 2015 Project Celebration (Graduation) Board chose to step down in January. A new board was chosen in early February just weeks from the entire event being cancelled. We are far behind the 8 ball when it comes to donations, prizes, and ticket sales. I am asking for your help in spreading the word about this event.

Project Celebration is scheduled to start at midnight on May 24th (after graduation) and will end at 6:00 am. We have reserved Max Bowl and they will have unlimited bowling, laser tag, karaoke, arcade games, and much more. We are trying to also get a casino theme going, but haven't had success because of the cost.

Fundraising Opportunities:
We have a GoFund Me account at : www.gofund.me/ahs2015projectgrad
Spirit Spots for sale during lunch on Thursdays (see AHS front web page)
This Thursday is a Spirit Night at Panera

More information can be found on our website: www.humbleisd.net/Do main/3047

Tickets are on sale at lunch on Thursdays or they can see Mrs. Barker; $35

We welcome any help at all with getting the word out. These are wonderful kids and they deserve an amazing night of celebration.

Thank you,
The AHS 2015 Project Celebration Board

@Lace No problem Emoticon I fully understand about the Sports Booster Club. They have new leadership this year and I think are trying to make some positive changes, but it seems to have been a struggle. Thank you for your support of the Class of 2015 Emoticon

^^ to Lace ..yes went rogue with wrong information....This happens too often at the school only because there are just a handful of parents doing all the work and when people do volunteer they drop the ball.
PROJECT GRADUATION is a wonder event for the graduating seniors. It is one last big "party" with high school friends and keeps the kids safe
KUDOS TO THE PARENTS THAT STEPPED UP!

I graduated in 2013 from AHS and project grad was an amazing way to help us have a fun safe night considering most if not all of the students I knew would have been out drinking! If i wasn't a poor college student now I would defiantly donate! It was such a fun night even though we just had ours at the high school and not main event! But I encourage all you to donate because it really was a great way for us to have a fun and safe night!

Are you also accepting prize donations? One suggestion is to ask parents who receive reward points on the credit cards to cash some in for items. Mine gives me points and I can use for travel, restaurant gift cards, store gifts cards, etc. I cashed in a bunch last year to get 3 gift cards, one for Bed Bath and Beyond and 2 for Best Buy. Didn't cost me a thing. Easy way for parents or anyone who wants to contribute to give a giveaway prize.

@Baseballmom

I can get you "free Bahama Bucks" VIP cards for each senior attending. Can you tell me about how many you expect that evening? We had about 40-50% of the graduates last year. How many are in the graduating class? Also, check with Whataburger and Sonic, they will often give you some sort of Freebie coupon for each senior as well. That way each kids goes away with at least something.

@cheryltom
Thank you for the great suggestion about the reward points. We are going to be asking for gift cards and that is a wonderful suggestion.

Right now we have a little 200 registered. We are hoping that will go up as word about the venue gets out. There are just under 700 Seniors and we would love to get around 50% participation. I definitely will check with Sonic and Whataburger.

@Aggiegirl17
Class of '90 here and Thank you for the endorsement. We are hoping it will be wonderful and safe night.

I did get contacted by an Observer reporter who wants to do a story to help promote Project Graduation. That wouldn't have happened without this forum. So again Thank you from the very bottom of my heart for caring about these great kids.
