Had the crab roll tonight and some Lobster Bisque. Whoever it was that suggested the Bisque - Thank YOU! It was sinfully rich and delicious. The crab sandwich was very good but I think I like the lobster roll even better.

Next trip I'm going to try their chicken salad. Heard it was also really good.

They had a drink in an orange can called Moxie that I thought about trying. However it was explained (fortunately before purchase) as a taste mix of Dr. Pepper and black licorice. Say no more - you had me stopped cold at "black licorice. Too close to Jaggermister and I made a deal with the heaven's above to never ever go down that road again

Anybody familiar with this Moxie drink?

Man... I don't get this one....the lobster roll compares to nothing I have ever had in the upper NE. It was just as Jim Gaffigan would say...bug meat.

Liked the lobster roll (loved the bread!! Dang! Emoticon ), the crab roll, meh. Kind of fishy. Lobster bisque, pretty good (only a couple of chunks of lobster in there...otherwise, ok for bisque served in a Styrofoam cup lol), clam chowder really good.

The shining star there, though, is the fried clams (have only tried the strips, not the whole clams)! YUM! A bummer that they have such great clams (fresh, crispy, not over battered or greasy) and serve them with crappy prepackaged tartar sauce/cocktail sauce (like the little peel-back packs you'd get at McDonald's) and no fresh lemon. Lame! It takes 30 seconds to make those fresh.

I've heard the chicken salad is great, so need to try that (it's tough turning down a lobster roll, though!). Definitely pricey for sandwiches served in a plastic basket with paper, but worth a try for sure. Not sure whether or not there's a market for it here long-term.

The licorice thing in that Moxie made me run for the hills, Lana! Emoticon

I know!! However, now I'm thinking I'll have to try one to try and find out for myself.

We enjoyed our food there - but it was REALLY expensive. The cost would keep me from eating there again.

I really enjoyed the lobster roll and clam chowder, but the price will definitely keep me from going back again.

1 lobster roll ($19.99) = 4 12"subways($5.00) = 10 6" subways (2$ cold cut combo). Not too tough of a choice when you have a family to feed. However, I gotta try them 1 time.
