So my UPS man knocks on the door to hand me a pkg and I handed him a gift thanking him for all year round service. I will do the same for my post man, trash men etc.....

It's great Public Relations.

You may want to check if your postman can accept items.
My dad retired after 30 years service at the Post Office and I remember he would bring home boxes and boxes of homemade goodies and gifts. I would always leave our Postman/woman box of candy for years, but for some reason the past two years it would not be picked up...after 2 weeks of sitting idle I retrieve it and have not done since...mmmmmm.

I love your suggestions.....

I have done this for many years & these folks do not forget you did something for them . My mail lady during our 7 months remodel over & over got out & went over & put my mail in my box. I told her ,I have told them to not block the box I guess they do not understand what I am telling them . She kept telling me no big deal .

The men getting the trash are wonderful !!! I think if I put 100 bags out they would pick it all up .I seldom have UPS at my door but I give to our yard men also .

This year I finally remembered the cleaning people at my office. They always give me a little something & I always forget them. Not this year!

This morning I dropped off the brand new RAV4 at the Toyata center for some repairs and was given a ride home by a very sweet Vietnamese man who looks so much like my uncle. He is going to come back for me when the truck is ready. Is it weird or not if I give him a little gift? Second question, what could I give him? He's probably in his 60's.

This is so sweet that you are so apprecitive of this man that you want to show him...this warms my heart..this is what Christmas is all about. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could keep paying it forward?

No ideas other than a small cash gift perhaps?..small fruit basket? ...or Starbucks gift card?

I'm not tipping my mailman. They lost 2 packages this year, caused us a lot of headache and driving to Humble post office several times.
No tip for FedEx man either... Delivered heavy package to a neighbor's house, the neighbor and I had to load it into the trunk and drive with it for two weeks until hubby came home to unload it.
