for those who are not up to reading actual congressional reports and are waiting for bullet points:

"The report, from Chairman Mike Rogers, R-Michigan, and ranking member Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger, D-Maryland, concludes there was no intelligence failure prior to the attack, no stand-down order to CIA operatives trying to go assist at the besieged consular building, and found conflicting intelligence in the wake of the attack about the motive and cause, which were reflected in early public comments by the administration."

The report attempts to knock down other accusations about the Benghazi incident and aftermath, finding no evidence of CIA employees being intimidated from testifying and also no indication the CIA presence in Benghazi was partially to secretly ship arms from Libya to Syria.

It really is a good read - especially if you have ever pretended to care about it. It is kind of funny that it wasn't released for two weeks after elections - but as it was campaign fodder for many - that would not have played well to release it earlier - better a quiet rollout.

Perhaps you are the one pretending to care by the spin you put on "your" bullet points. I suggest reading Catherine Herridge's report... informative.

Per the official report....it is clear that the Administration put their own narrative out to the public...It was clearly identified as Al Qada terrorist attack from the beginning. And quite honestly, that is what has people, that do not "pretend to care"...so **** off. It was the Democrats' amendment to the report that says there was no political cover up. Liars...get real, if this mans pattern of lies and coverup are not abundantly clear..never mind, please read for yourself.

Post a link fairlane - bullets I posted was from CnN - I could easily post more from the actual report. I have read the senate report as well - which was protested due to the democratic control. This house report - which takes into account over twenty hearings - two years of investigation etcetera seems pretty thorough - it does repeatedly point out mistakes made. Also clarifies and disproves much of the BS. I'm not seeing anywhere where it was CLEARLY an al quaida attack from the beginning - but it is obvious that the adnin tried to cover up some of what they knew for a short time. I think between the two reports (senate and house) the entire picture can be deduced - as I said a very good read.

It is nice when people get past the talk show talking points and try to educate themselves on the issues - regardless of political bias.

@Fairlane67:

A Fox news commentators reports favored over the senate of House reports? Damn....

I am disappointed...

Yeah - actually I won't go so far as a cover - up - although I believe the admin - tried to conceal what they knew for a couple days - the OFFICIAL reports clearly present that there is still obscurity in the forces behind the attacks. But the reports also disprove 90 % of the conspiracy theory ********.

I have been concerned over the actual field operations/response to these attacks - this report brings out clarity and reflects very well on our field operations -

It appears to me that based on the report - one of the biggest failures was with the contracted security detail.

Sorry - but we won't see eye to eye on this...

cheers
