@blueyes: Since the country has survived the Civil War, two World Wars, the Great Depression, the Lincoln and Kennedy Assassinations, numerous natural disasters, Watergate and devastating terrorist attacks just to name a few. I think the U.S. is in a good position to survive whatever challenges we face now and in the foreseeable future.

Uhhhh...I'll admit I've said I didn't even have a pair before when actually holding three of a kind or more in some poker games...I'm sure he was bluffing, hoping Congress would actually do their jobs and fix problems that have been growing for decades...Anything he does is just temporary...Only Congress can offer a permanent fix...If Congress wants things done their way, they need to take the initiative...Some are outraged he's taking action...I think it's a sad statement that he has to because no one else will and the problem is growing...Even more sad that many tolerate a "do-nothing" policy on most issues needing addressed...We vote these people in to fix issues...Can you imagine taking your car to a mechanic to be fixed and he/she just sits there and stares at it for an hour then goes home....

@macdaddy: No....Income tax is only one of several taxes...They have no choice but to pay sales taxes...Therefore, they pay some tax...Now, if they can be accounted for or documented to some degree, they can be taxed on their incomes too...

you know the majority of their income is transported back to Mexico right?I am just asking, because you seem to think this about taxing workers that are already here....And this has nothing to do with taxation......ZILCH
