When I was young it was a big thing. I had no idea they were playing let alone the Giants won.

I have been ignoring sports due to all the crap but I've seen no fanfare.
Anyone else feel like that.

I don't 'get' baseball. I've lost almost all interest in pro sports. College football is still fun for now....

I love a good double header. A tall cold beer and the sound of a crack of the bat. On a hot summer night.

Football is played in the snow.
Enough said. Lol

This Yankee didn't come for the hospitality or the food. Ok some of the food is really good.

I think it's unfair that only one team gets to win... I mean, it went to a game 7, they should have stopped the series when it got tied 3-3...

I feel really sad for the Royals and the city of Kansas City (ain't that an oxymoron?)... well, the Royals fought a good series and everybody should get a trophy!

@sandman:

For real?

The game plays till the end. Their ain't no crying and their ain't no ties in baseball.
The other team hot their trophy for making it to the series. The game goes on to one winner.

I can remember as a kid going to night games and it went on and in till 3 in the morning.
I love those games.

and no to everybody gets a trophy poop.

Great players or seasoned players?
All winners, yep you bet.
All champions, nope that belongs to the Giants.

Sorry I don't believe in everybody gets a trophy. I sux at sports and not afraid to say that. Except for pool,darts, ping pong. I'm okay with that.
I was bullied in school because I was forced to play. I truly believe I suc because I don't really care for them and never really wanted to play.
I can not sit someplace and watch, I gotta be at the game. Or the horse track.

I love horse racing too... not much into the betting part, but love watching the races!

@daisy girl
Are you still pretending you believe everything I said about sports, winning/losing, etc. or are you starting to believe it's true?

I am pleading guilty to the charge of a degenerate horse player. Thoroughly love being at the track live, but it's pretty cool to play from my man cave on line.

But, if I study 10 races, I will wager, on average, two races for 4-10 units. Kinda picky about my spots...but I love the ponies.

I hope the game survives the cheating, though.

@Clydepuckett

The father of one of my childhood friends was in a horse partnership... we used to go to the track on Saturdays to watch the races... I was just a child and really fell in love with the sport.

Panama is a cradle for jockeys... starting with Laffit Pincay Jr., one of the best ever... then Jorge Velazquez and Baeza, and most recently Gabriel Saez and Jose Lezcano. Not too shabby on horses either... have won 13 "Clasico del Caribe" followed by Venezuela with 12 and Mexico with 10 (which BTW have a large horse racing industry). Unfortunately, they've have been losing ground... last time a Panamanian horse won the "Clasico" was in 2006.

Dude, Panamanian horseman are the bomb. BTW, Pincay's son is making a huge reputation as an announcer on NBC. Great knowledge, handsome looks with a spectacular voice......one of the best features I've ever seen was when he interviewed his father.

Look for him, he will be doing a ton of announcing on Fri and Sat......he may be all American(born here), but he's a backside guy all the way, knowledge gained from his Panamamian pops.

Being from the midwest it was major news in our home. My facebook feed is full of nothing but world series stuff.

Was great to see KC get that far. Really wish they would have won it though. Tired of the giants. I think that's 3 of the last 5 WS for them.
