Did anyone watch or even care about the World Series this year? It was actually a pretty exciting series which came down to the very end.

I consider myself an Astros fan, because Houston is my home now, and unless I win the lottery, I do not plan to leave, but I will always support and love my hometown team, and I'm very happy for them for making history....3 World Championships in 5 years!

Pablo Sandoval (Panda) becomes a free agent after this season, If the Giants can't sign him, I would LOVE to see him become an Astro! He also made history last night with the most hits (26) in the post season.

Just a bunch of under-estimated misfits who can come together and win when it really counts.

Madison Bumgarner (Madbum) only 21 for the first win, 23 for the 2nd and 25 now, 3 championships and an MVP title by the age of 25. Very impressive. He won it for the Giants, I consider him the JJ Watt of baseball.

All my family watched it in Cali. Also the Mission district rioted after the game.

Probably why they all call him MadBum, but yes, I'd definitely consider Madison a girl's name.

And he'll be taking it all the way to the bank and, barring injury (he is still a pitcher), is likely still to peak in his career as he is only 25. It's not totally out of the question that he could be in HoF chatter very soon. He'll buy your name, throw it away, and move on. :-)

Great series, despite the average margin of victory in the first six games being 5-6 runs. Nice story lines with the presence of a team after a 29 year absence. I was rooting for the Royals as I did briefly follow them in the mid to late 80s when I was in the midwest, though I have no real reason to root against the Giants. As a Mariner fan I can appreciate a team that has been out of it for so long, or in the case of the Ms, never to have made the WS yet. I was really hoping for a competitive and entertaining WS, and that is what we got, especially for the finale.

Had it been any team besides the Giants or Nationals, I would have rooted for the Royals too, but I will always have to root for the Giants. Both teams played great, and it could have gone either way. KC was definitely a class act.

Now, if the Giants ever face the Astros in the world series (maybe 2016?) I would have to go for the Astros because they have never won a World Series, and the Giants are already the team of the decade. It would be tough, but in the end, I would be happy either way. It would mean so much more to Houston, since San Francisco has already had so much glory, and, I would hope, that we wouldn't burn our city down!

The Astros play the Giants next year, that's going to be tough, I think I am just going to have to go in totally neutral and not wear any Astros or Giants gear and just sit back and enjoy the games. It's nice to have both a National League team to root for, and an American League team, the likelihood of both teams meeting up for a World Series would be very slim, but would be pretty awesome.

Oh, and all the Astros fans should be totally happy for Hunter Pence. Good for him.

Giants hat and 'Stros jersey, or vice versa. I am obligated to root against the Astros, they being in the AL West now, though I have nothing in particular against them and hope they have some success as, in general, it is good for the area. They do have some talent in their system that will likely make a difference someday, if utilized correctly.

Yeah, it's kind of hard to support 2 teams that compete against each other on a regular basis, although my Mom supports both the Giants and the Diamondbacks (grew up in San Francisco, lived there for almost 60 years, and then relocated to the Phoenix area almost 10 years ago and supports her "new" local team, but still has loyalty to the team she grew up with and rooted for her entire life.

My in-laws who live here, just purchased a condo in Scottsdale that is walking distance to where the Giants do their Spring Training, so I am hoping to turn them into Giants supporters as well (my FIL is a Nationals fan, Astros fan, Orioles fan, and Cubs fan - He grew up in Chicago, relocated to the D.C. area and lived there for about 30 years, and then relocated to Houston about 15 years ago, and will now split his time between here and Scottsdale.

People move around so much these days, it's hard to have just one team. The decals on my car are pretty confusing; Washington Capitals hockey, Giants Baseball, Houston Astros, and Houston Texans. My closet is pretty confusing as well, I have Redskins, Nationals, Washington Capitals, Astros, and S.F. Giants stuff. At least none of my teams directly conflict each other.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but people would look at me like I'm confused.
