I just drove through this subdivision and think that there more houses we need to focus on than this one. Unfortunately, the before pics of this property was an eye sore too. Dead lawn, tree branches everywhere and no fence anywhere allowing you to be able to see the unattended back yard as well. I also drove to some homes presently for sale and they look run down as well. Let's hope that those who find the fence offensive keeps their own home saleable, at least from the front. By the looks of it, values maybe going down not because of this homeowner's fence, which looks professional and clean , but by lawns not maintained, golf course not maintained and homeowners rented out homes without gardeners. So sad.

If I where a professional fence installer I would pass on this job because of line of sight issues.

Unkempt lawns and leaves are temporary but sore thumb fences are not. I sure hope his Christmas lights are not permanent.

We may have to launch a new satellite just for him and the way money has been spent by the association lately I do not think we can afford this.

I agree but looks like the yards I saw were not recently unkept. If it is temporary like you say, why are these yards dirt now? At least the fence will hide the unkept yard. I wouldn't buy a house in a run down neighborhood and first impressions are lasting. Who wants to live next door or across the street from a dead lawn. I'm surprise the HOA is allowing that. That's why I like HOAs. It's suppose to take care of homes that don't keep up their yards.

Yes, they are. And they not only are failing to make sure people keep their yards up, they are ALLOWING people to build structures that violate the restrictions.

This Board could care less & there you go you are proof once again talking about unkept yards . THEY LIKE tO SPEND SPEND SPEND they don't want to take care of things .You do not get value with these folks for the $ you spent in my opinion . They installed iron fences at the pools & I took pictures before the workers could HIDE IT ALL ! The fences were full of RUST & they never sanded it off & primed it & then painted . They just painted right over the rusted metal . Take pictures to them & give the address which I have done many many times & nothing gets done most times .

I sure wouldn't buy a home on that street.... It's an eyesore..... Yes the house is an eyesore also.....
I am telling you , if I was a homeowner near that fence I would sue both the homeowner AND our ACIA to have it removed.... It is a clear violation of or DR...... Why is was allowed I can't imagine.
Why a new homeowner wound put it up I can't imagine either .......
A lawsuit would remedy the situation....

One of the problems with our HOA is that they always threaten but never take action......
As a homeowner I would take action here

This post is for the person who posted the first post. You are so wrong, this has set a precedent, wait and watch, there are legal actions for landlords who do not keep their properties, they have the ultimate responsibility, of course that would take work and money.

Here is a simple relatively easy solution move the fence back and place it according to where it is required to be placed per the DR"s.

I suppose it is the owners choice.
