I make all kinds of art. In every medium. I also write poems. I really need a warehouse or a large place to make work stations. I'm working on that part.
Some mediums are glass, metal, wood, leather, paint, pencil, mosaic and basically just create what I need or want.
Like today I am taking an old leather skirt (sz 3), it goes on easy but it's about 3 maybe 5 in too small in the waist ( that song lyric... when I was young.....plays softly) and I'm gonna make myself some funky leather moccasin boots. Remember I have the pretty shoe display case. Those heels are made for looking at. I like to keep my feet on the ground.after I make the boots I'll make some jewelry then find the right pieces to wear.My husband thinks I'm a pack rat and insane. I see a use for everything. When I shop I see how I can build it better for what I need.
I wasn't rich or middle class growing up, mom came from s family of her mom, dad, and 14 kids. I grew up doin was needs doin with what ya had. You saved, bought quality and took care of it. I guess that never left me.off a bit.
I bought a mr. Coffee ice tea pot in 1997. Before that I made my tea the old way on the stove. Last week I sat and cried, I thought it died.
I forgot the water and it would not turn on. Yeah it still works, original
plastic pitcher. Well used, well kept, long life. 1 to 3 pitcher every single day for 17 years.
That's what I like to create. Quality art to pass on to the next generation.btw hubby came in and made me loose my thoughts a couple times. Sorry got winded. Lol
