Any one watching this? It comes on Wednesdays and I have caught it the past 2 weeks and it is really funny..
They hit on some very good issues..last night was about spanking.
The actors are very good...love Anthony Anderson (plays the father).
Catch it On Demand...goes perfect with Modern Family.

@MooMaw:

I watched a little of the first episode and we couldn't get into it. Maybe I'll give it another shot now. Emoticon

Speaking of new shows, have you seen Marry Me? Hilarious! Love the writing and the characters, especially Annie's dads. Emoticon

I watched Blackish once......it was actually funny.....
.
But the connotations that they use, if a white person said that, it would be considered racist......sick of the double standard

There was a "whiteish" character that said outrageous things on TV. His name was Archie Bunker of All in the Family in the 1970s. Archie did not bite his tongue when it came to his opinion of minonorites as he put it. So where's the double standard?

I remember this show and how he felt towards meathead and polish people. His character was racists towards all people.

Yes with the exception of those of his ilk whom he called number 1 on the societal ladder.

It was a ground breaking show for sure....
And Carol oConner hated his character I read lately in a article .....

Blackish is nothing more than a race baiting show that uses black stereotypes for jokes..... Stereotypes that if a white person said this would be considered racist....
Truth hurts

If Carroll O'Connor hated playing Archie, he must have enjoyed playing Bill Gillespie in 'In the Heat of the Night'. Great show.
