The Candidates for the Nov. 13th Atascocita Community Improvement Association board of trustees have now put out their campaign statements.
 
Hopefully the lawsuit against the ACIA and ALL the current individual board members will be filed by the next association meeting 10/26.
 
Let's begin with the Sensible Solution Committee and the need to have the board controlled by owners of golf course lots or their hand picked candidates. Why do they need control? What are their intentions?
 
One main goal of the Sensible Solution Commitee was to have the ACIA and it's residents take over ownership and pay for all the costs associated with the golf course.
 
The members of the Association voted overwhelmingly not to have anything to do with the golf course.
 
Lets not have to divide the community again with any attempt to pay for or in any way have a relationship with the golf course.
 
---- Have the ACIA board pass a BYLAW stipulating that the golf course is private and the association has already voted by some 80% not to have anything to do with it.
 
------ Also we seem to have a huge issue with transparency. Have the board pass a bylaw requiring monthly disclosure of all spending. ( Checks and cash disbursements with accounting details)
 
These are 2 small and easily done actions that will begin to provide transparency and accountability.
 
No rumors or suggestion of rumors by the ACIA board president needed.

Jimmy the majority of the association spoke loudly and clearly regarding the golf course- Time to walk the walk, enough with the meaningless words.
 
Also it is our money why can't we know clearly how it is spent?

And Laura could you give us an accounting for the spending on our irrigation system from 9/13 to present by month , also please show us the monthly water bill from 9/13 to present.

Oh Laura were do I start.
 
Could you please clear up this conflict for us- At the last meeting you told everyone how tree roots were causing all these leaks in our irrigation system and yet you want to plant more trees in our IRRIGATED medians.
Trees have ROOTS Laura which according to you cause leaks in our irrigation system. WHY DO YOU WANT TO GIVE US MORE LEAKS?

"development of an additional park."- What is this ?
 
Is this the land by the golf course that has been referred to as Golf Villa PARK that you denied was a planned park?
 
What exactly are you CONCEALING from the association members now?
 
And yes the rest of the ACIA board of UNTRUSTABLES are just as responsible .

Here is another NON RUMOR rumor.
 
At the last ACIA or maybe the one before it, sterling explained that the MUD 132 was now suing or something to that effect to obtain the land by the Golf Villa.
 
So the ACIA goes to MUD to get " Free Money" from the Mud but that money is not FREE IT IS OUR MONEY.
 
Now I am hearing about OUR MONEY BEING USED TO ACQUIRE THIS LAND. And now a NEW PLANNED PARK?
 
Of course we only know this because of Laura's campaign statement.
 
Well like everything else we were probably supposed to find out after the fact.
 
Can you say SECRET SOLUTION COMMITTEE?

You may CARE DEEPLY but that caring does not translate to appearance. The common areas of the association have been in the worst condition I have seen in the 12 years that I have lived here.

Why did Patti Speers who is running for the ACIA board leave the fact that she works for CAM out of her bio?
 
She is off to a good start and will fit right in with this group.

Maybe you could solve the problem of failing to tell the members of the association who you work for by just coming out and saying it instead of leaving that little tidbit out.

File the lawsuit, and contact the attorney generals in Austin., involved
 
The audits for 2012 and 2013 should be out and published, no excuses.
 
Minutes must be posted.
 
Contact our St Rep office Dan Huberty and get him involved. Contact the local media to ask them to attend the Oct meeting.
 
We do not need the local press involved, we are just now getting over the bad press from the ACIA trying to purchase the ACC. But the board will not interact will the residents. That leaves actions to push forward.
 
I do not believe any money has been misspent
 
But enough is enough

The MINUTES ARE NOT ACCURATE- THEY TAPE, HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN?
 
To know if money is misspent you would really need to attend the meetings and then you would know.
 
Some of the things that I have seen done are patently absurd at a minimum , so misspent money that is affirmative.

She herself I think called it a park & we said WHAT ???? What are you talking about ? when did this get discussed in a meeting ???? And she said no it is not a park . So looks like NOW IT IS A PARK !!! I think they have soooo many PRIVATE MEETINGS THEY have no idea what they said in a meeting & which meeting they said it in . My 2 cents worth of opinion because she did retract what she said & NOW WE ARE BACK TO A PARK . And yes all 5 knew about this . Now isn't that just what we need ANOTHER PARK TO TAKE CARE OF !!!!!

Why put a park in that area ???? All I see over there is adults & 2 adults came to a meeting & flat said they did not want a park near their homes .

. Even the new signs in no way look updated to me . On 1960 at the stop light look at Kingwood's beautiful sign on the right heading towards Humble at Atascocita Oaks which becomes Kings Pkwy red light . A beautiful sign, pure class !!!!! Kingwood has a way of doing it right .Some real thought went into that sign .Our costly signs do not in my opinion look near as nice as this . Does anyone ever remember seeing any drawings of these signs ? Any bids on these signs ?

What about the 16 lot land sale.No putting that on the agenda or discussion with the members until we are told that a sales agreement was signed with a realtor. So when was this brought up to even consider doing this? I suspect a board favorite tool for concealment the infamous WORKSHOP.
 
This whole group of current board members is out of control.
 
They did not list this property for sale on the internet- Why the heck would we want to maximize the value of this land for the members of this association?

I came to the Oct 2013 meeting a little late got a copy of the agenda sat down & never looked at it . But I never remember ANY discussion about the Reality company & Jimmy was starting when I came in & sat down . As we know just because something is on the agenda does not mean J W will not just skip over a bunch of stuff & not discuss it at all . On Feb 8,2014 I sent a letter to Sterling requesting several things but 1 of the things I requested & received was the LISTING AGREEMENT WITH FC REALITY & I received it . That was the first time any of us were aware of what was going on which was to sell the wetland lots !!!Listing begins Nov 18,2013 ends May 18,2014 says Broker will not file this listing with a Multiple Listing Service ( MLS ) or any other listing service . Ok Mr realtor I want you to sell my house but I don't want you to advertise it !!!! Would any of you list & say don't advertise , so it most certainly says to me something is going on & it has been kept a secret from most homeowners . Then it says SELLER DOES NOT WANT THE LISTING TO BE DISPLAYED ON THE INTERNET !!!! So sell it but you can't put on MLS OR THE INTERNET .
 
Here is a good one in the listing agreement No 15 SPECIAL PROVISIONS ; PRICE TO BE DETERMINED EITHER BY COMMITTE OR HOA BOARD . WHAT COMMITTEE ????? We were not told of any committee , And when I voted people on the Board of Trustees I never dreamed they would turn over their duties to a committee & one that the entire subdivision knew nothing about & never had the the right to make a decision if they would like to be on this committee or not .
 
Hubby requested & I requested other stuff that was never sent to us . I have the certified return receipt stubs showing the day they received . I then have emails that today is the deadline according to what 209 law says & they still would not send the info to me which is HOA business & not a private matter . So Sterling had to have been in my opinion told buy the board to not give us this info ,I'm sure figuring it would just be forgotten & they could keep their plan a secret . And why does sensible solution Committee need board members or 5 on our Board of Trustees ???? What can people that live on the golf course do that I can't do ? I think if I worded that a little different & said what can they do that( I would not do), might be a more accurate question to be asking in my opinion ! And I have emails from one who asked DJ if he would come back & he said YES . And all of a sudden out of no where here is Patti on ACC & now running for the Board but does not say in her campaign info who she works for why not ? And why this sudden interest in our HOA ????? Sterling is not capable I guess to put all sign up sheets on our site but I will check all that has been put up on our site & I am pretty certain it will show as of only the last couple of months has she been coming to meetings yet it talks about on our website she is an ACTIVE MEMBER of ACIA currently serving on ACC .YES REAL REAL current activity I THINK !
