I really can't understand anyone not having an ID. Even the elderly and poor and immobile.
BUT that said, does anyone really believe that requiring IDs will actually stop willfull fraud? And what's worse...will it stop either side of believing and claiming voter fraud against the other?
Nope.
@HumbleGirl:
A legal ID requirement would be a start. You don't think so? Many of our "citizens" currently vote without anyone knowing who's blindly punching those ballot buttons. If anything, this is a deterrent for a large majority who have no business at the polls. Not perfect, but better than nothing.
Frauds/scammers/illegals/criminals will always be everywhere. Weed them out little by little. It's not that difficult. We're all pretty much sunk right now with the current state of affairs and it'll take a great deal of effort to dig our way out. I've accepted that.
It's all of our children's and grandchildren's futures that I'm more concerned about preserving at this point. That's a stressful position to be in. At least for me.
