Both will not let the carnival cruise passengers disembark. So guess where the ship is headed. That's right back to Galveston. 6,000 passengers and crew to enjoy Galveston , fly home, or whatever, in the Houston area.
Let's hope the medical employee on board does not have Ebola.

What I see is that most don't think this is very serious , just wait till all hospitals are on drive -by & can not take even 1 more . Then you are in an area with millions of people & a bunch are sick & have no where to go ,now what ??? We'll wish our boys were here putting up tent hospitals I guess , even though I think we have to do all we can to stop this in Africa .

Now a low risk at Baylor. But she wanted to go home so they let her.
maybe she'll still feel okay to go out with the girls. After all it's Friday night.
I don't think people are taking it serious either. The world is a very big small space. Houston is fourth largest city. And Dallas is a mornings drive. It landed in our backyard. More cases or possible case are popping up. Frontier is trying to track down roughly 800 people god know where.
Perry said we need to stop flights this thing is airborne in a sense that's exactly how it got here.
The ship and all 6000 passengers can't dock in any countries so their coming back to port. Those people will disperse to only they know. Btw everything here stays somewhat damp due to humidity.
I'm gonna spend the weekend building more gardens.

Lol I know. The ship is due in Galveston on Sunday if anyone wants to go before all 6000 passengers get off that ship. I don't care for Galveston as I come from a place of clean beaches and water. The shops are fun on the strand, I love the history but I won't be shopping and trying on cute little dresses.
I love some of the expressions and the way the anchors try to keep it up. My god how many times in one day can they repeat the same thing without saying ..enough go view the tape. Lol

I doubt they would answer that because that could really cause great fear , but I have always wondered that .Remember I think it was about the end of Aug when people were on A.com talking about finding dead birds in their yard ? My neighbor had one in their front yard & so did we . I wondered then if mosquitoes bit them & then they died of something because they were real bad over here then .

It stinks for all of those people who saved up a lot of money for their cruise, just to find out that they have to stay on board and not enjoy the ports of call they were planning on visiting. I remember my first visit to Belize, and how excited I was. I could not imagine being told that I couldn't get off of the ship.

So, one person's very poor decision pretty much ruined thousands of other people's vacation.

Funny you say that. I said those very words to my husband. Vacations aren't cheap and some sacrifice the weeks pay too.

To add insult the cruise line gave them $200 off next cruise. I personally think the CDC did a horrible job and owe many people more than another cruise. How about the people needlessly exposed and lost a lot for no other reason than they screwed up and admit it.

@Littlegoo:
My question is this, & I think my DH told me this person confined theirself to their cabin . Why did this person ever get on the SHIP ???? This person knew damn well that 2 nurses had already been put in the hospital , why would you take that kind of chance with other people's lives ? I do not understand anyone in a medical profession doing something like this . If my vacation was ruined because of this person, I am certain this person would not want me to find them ! I think I would go to small claims court & get my money back or at least try . Some of those people used up their vacation time most likely & can't do another trip this year & I am sure some can't afford another trp .

Exactly. All these people should loose their licenses, and jobs.

if you go into that kind if position and don't take life serious, your in the wrong profession. Granted that's my opinion but common sense tells you hey maybe I should not go out.
Hell how many times do we hear parents and coworkers say, why did them send them, why did you come to work?

So tell me why anyone with common sense after taking care of a deadly person gets on an airplane, a boat, goes for soup, or goes to someone's shop and tries on all the dresses?

When and I do me when because life is like a hurricane, it happens where I need care, I'd like to know they really know what they are doing. Like I said jmo

I will say I am very happy no one else has become so ill they died too. The cost of helping someone should not be death to you, loved ones, or strangers you may pass.

and I'd sue the b on the boat.

If the nurse had cruise insurance, it covers illness, but regardless, it was an extremely stupid and selfish decision for her to make. Also, a week long cruise on the Magic can run anywhere from $600 (for the cheapest cabin) to several thousand (for a suite) per person. How unfair to the thousands of people who may have been on their trip of a lifetime. Yes, Carnival is giving each passenger $200 credit as well as half off of a future cruise, which they aren't obligated to do because they were not at fault, but it would be bad PR if they didn't. This woman's stupid decision has basically caused well over a million dollars in damages.
Thank goodness she ended up being negative, but had she actually had it, could you imagine?! I don't even want to think about it.
I really hate stupid people!
