Just watched last nights SNL. Am I the only one that did not understand the Humor. I found all but two or three bits very disturbing and not funny.

Unless it gets some better writers and leads they will not make it to year 41.

SNL was at its best in the 70s. All of the comedians were coked up..... but they were funny as heck! I will turn it on a couple of times per season to see if they've gotten their humor back, but end bored.

I haven't finished watching the whole episode but I liked what I saw. I always like SNL. It's only funny if you are pretty up to date on pop culture otherwise a lot of the references don't make sense.

People thought SNL sucked in the 70s. It's funny now in a nostalgic way. But really, if they put the Coneheads on now, we'd all be whining.

I do hope we get some funny new talent. It needs some new big names. I'm not sure the heavyset white gal is going to be it, she messed up a lot but not in a funny way like Seth or Jimmy. The skits they messed up were the funniest!

I'm with you about the heavy boned white girl. Also the new skinny white guy sucks.

Loved the Black girl with attitude only funny on show other than week end update.

Far too much on NFL problems. Where were the political items which made the show. Seems like they avoid them with Bama in office.

I liked SNL up until the Farley / Sandler / Farrell crew left. It's unwatchable to me, and has been for years.

I watched it on the dvr. Meh. SNL just isn't what it used to be. They rely on filth and bathroom-humor related cheap jokes to get by these days (and I'm no prude...just don't find it funny. The superhero skit? The bit on Weekend Update about guys "going down" on guys for $1M? Really? Even the ED commercial. Yawn. Maybe prepubescent boys get a kick out of that Emoticon ).

I miss Kristin Wiig, Tina, Fallon, Seth. The writers suck now. Emoticon

@scamp:

I agree...Sandler, Myers, Farley, Farrell, Hartman, Carvey......those eras were funny. I honeslty didn't find the '70s stuff all that funny. Some of it was, but I think people are more nostalgic for it than find it truly funny.
