I have! I moved to Houston back in my early 20's on a whim. The only person I knew here was my college roommate. Got a job and met some really great people (that's where I met my husband) My bday has always been important to me and my co-workers got together and threw me one hell of a surprise party. I loved it! It was especially special bc I had no family here to celebrate with at that time.
I think everyone should experience a surprise party!
I had one for my birthday this year and I was totally shocked! It was the day before my birthday so didn't think anything of it. My cousin picked me up because we were having an all girls dinner and a movie. Went to pick up my sister. She called us as soon as we drove up and said she was running late, so for us to come in and wait. I opened the door and everyone yelled surprise! I was shocked and truly had no idea and I'm glad too, cause I don't think I could fake being surprised. They had one person picking everyone up at a different location so that way, I wouldn't see all the parked cars there. It made me feel good that they went to so much trouble and my college kids did all the planning along with their daddy. Happy tears! I agree with DaycareMom, everyone should experience a surprise party.
