I'm not too thrilled about this news. It's very, very hard to see how this is helping our QB situation. I guess for a sixth round pick it might be OK, but how many "less than" options are we going to cycle through before we face facts and get us a franchise type QB?

Wow, what were the terms? I liked Mallet at Bama. The pats must be happy with their new draft at QB. Time will tell, but Houston may have gotten a good deal. Also with coach OB coming from pats system Mallet may be a good fit.

So what did the Pats get for the trade?

Mallet played for Georgia I believe....Texans front office is less than stellar .....

He played at Arkansas. Give him several weeks to learn the offense, and he will be more of an asset than Keenum. I give Fitzpatrick til week 10 and bet he is on the bench

And to add on to what I was saying, they still need to draft a QB in the 1st round either in '15 or '16 draft.

Not saying for sure but Mallet may pan out and be a true starter.Remember he was behind Brady so he was never going to see the field in NE.

Tebow? Now that's funny. Might as well call for Vince Young. Aaron Rodgers sat behind Favre for how long? At the very least Mallet is better than Keenum. Smart move to get him for virtually no cost.

Case is picked up by the Rams, and may actually get to play some... not like here. O'Brien wasn't invested in Case, I guess... oh well, Keenum was the only reason I was slightly interested in the Texans. I wish Case and his wife Kim the best in St. Louis. He is a great guy... nice folks. I hope one day he'll be a bona fide NFL QB... and that it happens soon!
