Is anyone having issues with their water smelling?

Instead of our clothes smelling dirty before the wash they smell foul after being washed. And the dished smell coming out of the dishwasher.

Mud 58 district (Atascocita/1960 & W Lake Houston area)

Not now. But did a couple weeks ago. Almost smelled like stagnant water.
Ps. Is your bill 2 days past due? It could be a random punishment. 😇

Mud 58 is not in this area.
46, 109, 132, 151, 152, 153 are in this area of Atascocita.

Ronnie,

Call the operator for district at the number below, they probably need to come
out and flush the main water lines, you may live at the end of the water line and it needs
to be flushed on a regular bases.

Good luck.

Heard about this on KSBJ this morning. People complaining about the smell. They said it was Clayton's Corner, in Humble. Mud is saying it is safe to drink. Emoticon

I can't link this, but I am starting to worry about what will happen when my mud (132) moves from well water to surface water.

Will probably never happen.
80% of all water used must be surface water! we are probably in that 20%.
Surface water in this area is controlled by the North Water Authority (City of Houston), only 109 belongs to the
North Authority, the other MUD districts belong to the West Water Authority.

Good luck, and pray. Surface water is sour no matter where it comes from.

I remember getting a letter a while back saying all Muds would have to be moved to surface water by a certain date.

Go to the website whcrwa.com then click on "groundwater reduction plan".

It says by 2010 - 30%, 2025 - 60%, 2035 - 80% conversion to ground surface water.

These dates are subject to be changed.

Please read as the MUD districts have no control whatsoever over the amount to be charged for the use of each 1.000 gallons of water usage. The 1,000 gallon meters are located at the well sites. Homeowners are billed by their usage thru the water meter at their home.

The only problem with this is if there is a fire in a MUD district, the MUD district does not bill anyone for the usage to put the fire the MUD absorbs the total fee for water used. So everyone in the MUD pays the cost., it's not a problem, they want the AVFD to put the fire out.

Hope this explains what this water charge is on your water bills.

Our current water bill for water was $11.00 & our surface water fee was $17.00, sewer fee was $15.00.

Just be glad you do not get a water bill from the City of Houston, your total water bill would be about $125.00.
Not $43.00.

I know what the charge is, I am trying to figure out how you know we will get to keep our well water.
