CNN is killing themselves trying to perpetuate the bad cop story.

Also seems shocked by the attitude they are getting there.

the police are showing great restraint IMO - personally - I think they could shut down the lootings/BS in one day - but they are working hard to allow the demonstrations to continue in spite of the thugs - even though the thugs/looters are just a spinoff of the demonstrators - they wouldn't exist without the demonstrators. Seems the protestors (peacemarcers) could get a clue as to all the unrest / turmoil they are causing - perhaps they could demonstrate and at the same time - take a hand in community pride and shut down the violence.

I don't really watch the news very often, but I did see Don Lemon on last night and lost ALL respect for him. There was a black police officer they interviewed who flat out told him the press was making everything worse. Lemon was mad because they had some roads closed. The officer said it was for public safety.

@redneck roy:

When MLK was alive and leading peaceful marches, at times the event would be taken over by hoodlums that wanted to use the march for their own purposes. This mentality happens quite often whether it be taking advantage of natural disaster victims or scamming an old lady out of her life savings. In this country people have a right to lawful assembly, as such they can't be held responsible for the looters. But I agree with you the news industry being what it is tends to concentrate on the more incendiary parts of the story.

For example there was a time a few months ago when the news media had us believing war with North Korea was imminent. Everyday nearly 24 hours a day they were beating the drums of war. You had politicians calling the President a weakling because he wasn't confronting the NK dictator and so on. Then just as quickly as it began, another news event knocked that out the headlines and the so-called war has not been mentioned since. I'm like damn did we sign a peace treaty with NK or what? That's what's call news manipulation and that is what's happening here.

I don't care who the media is, these people jump on something & oh my God they milk it till we are just exhausted from hearing it over & over & over . Storm ,Flooding , earthquake, tornado , the kids at the border on & on & on . If they would SHUT UP & GO HOME THIS WOULD END !!!! Meaning the protesting would stop if no body is there to put it on TV & the process that needs & will be done would move right along .

News released just now....

cop was severly beaten by Brown....

several facial cuts
fractured eye socket
and nearly unconscience

According to the well-placed source, Wilson was coming off another case in the neighborhood on Aug. 9 when he ordered Michael Brown and his friend Dorain Johnson to stop walking in the middle of the road because they were obstructing traffic. However, the confrontation quickly escalated into physical violence, the source said..

“They ignored him and the officer started to get out of the car to tell them to move," the source said. "They shoved him right back in, that’s when Michael Brown leans in and starts beating Officer Wilson in the head and the face.

The source claims that there is "solid proof" that there was a struggle between Brown and Wilson for the policeman’s firearm, resulting in the gun going off – although it still remains unclear at this stage who pulled the trigger. Brown started to walk away according to the account, prompting Wilson to draw his gun and order him to freeze. Brown, the source said, raised his hands in the air, and turned around saying, "What, you're going to shoot me?"

At that point, the source told FoxNews.com, the 6 foot, 4 inch, 292-pound Brown charged Wilson, prompting the officer to fire at least six shots at him, including the fatal bullet that penetrated the top of Brown's skull, according to an independent autopsy conducted at the request of Brown's family.

Wilson suffered a fractured eye socket in the fracas, and was left dazed by the initial confrontation, the source said. He is now "traumatized, scared for his life and his family, injured and terrified" that a grand jury, which began hearing evidence on Wednesday, will "make some kind of example out of him," the source said.

Will be interesting to see the hospital/doctor reports on all this. No ambulance hauled him off from the scene. Quite frankly sounds like a fabrication.
