i wish the IRS didn't suck so bad apparently i was awarded my usual grant and student loans i always am awarded but this year they want a transcript from the IRS directly showing proof of my 2013 tax filing. (which i sent them my paper work, my 1040 showing all of it, but thats not proof from the IRS they said) Never heard of that before a transcript. NEVER have had to do that in the past 2-3 years either. But this year i have to-AND OF COURSE when you call the IRS its high call volumes and you can't get into anyone....i have been awarded but all i need is that transcript and i cant get it. It takes 3-6 weeks to come in the mail, which dead line is the 15th then another 3-5 days to process. so frustrating. sorry venting...was ready to finally finish up school and this has to happen....have to remember patience is a virtue

It's approaching quickly! Does anyone have kiddos going into a new school (kindergarteners, new middle/high students or college freshmen)? Nervous? Excited?Summer has gone by really fast..only 4 weeks left.

I know that has to be frustrating...I fill out the FAFSA, they connect to the IRS for the past years files and then the school approves it. The grants maybe set up different. When it comes to the Gov't, there will be paperwork.
Hang in there ..you can do this! Do not give up.

I know when my baby went through school, I would always say..."well, this is the last time I will be doing this"

Hold dear to those precious moments...you just do not realize at the time how precious they are.
So you are going to a have BMOC this year, huh? It will be fun!
