Here is my two cents on the matter for what it's worth, I posted it here and on KDC, tell me if you have a better solution. I've already shared it with your governor via email, I'm waiting on a response.

Okay, I was having a discussion the other day with one of my neighbors about the illegals that are here, we are both disgusted by it. But I figured this may be the best way to deal with them right now until we can send them back home. How about instead of sending them here and there and everywhere else they’re not wanted, why not just house them at one of the military bases that have been closed or shut down due to budget cuts? This way they’re able to keep account for all of them and these facilities are equipped to house thousands at a time. Think of the cafeteria, the showers and the sleeping quarters, not to mention if one gets sick you don’t have to send them anywhere, they have clinic on site. They can separate the sexes so there wouldn’t be any incidents of foul play not to mention keeping them all safe. They can make sure that none of them try to exit for we all know it’s not that easy getting on or off a military base. I could be wrong but I think there may be a recreational space on sight so the kids can have some play/exercise time.

So what do you think about this, good idea or bad? Just a thought I had.

Who's Governor? Regardless I am not sure any of the border states' Governors have such authority.

I think an electrical fence with spiraling razors atop of it from South Padre to San Diego would be a good deterrent and would incentivize people to go through the legal process.

Good grief it doesn't take long for someone to make this political. I think your idea is a great one. Of course you will have the human and immigration rights groups up in arms. They will complain that these poor little angels are living in what amounts to a concentration camp, blah blah blah.

Hell for that matter I think some of these gang members in Chicago should be living on a military base too.

The law, or the judicial system, does not and is prevented from giving an advisory opinion. In other words, the judicial system stays out of politics and defers that aspect to another branch of government.

@Fairlane67: Rick Perry, I would think he has a say in the matter since we are housing some of the immigrants.
