Ok now that I totally hate our RV. I am ready to remodel. We got am. estimate at that place in Humble on 59. They quoted 7k for new flooring main part, upholster couch dinette and replace window covers 32 inch flat screen installed

jeez that seems like half the cost of a new one depending on how big of one you have.

Well. It was 86k new. We bought it used. It's about 10 years old but only had 39k miles. The interior is not bad.sans a torn chair. It's just really out dated. It is a lot compared to say doing a home. They want 2100 just to do the flooring. And that's just half of the flooring. The cost in all the work is the labor. It is very labor intensive. Especially taking the furniture out. I really should clarify. We really want someone to mainly reupholster the furniture and window coverings . DH is willing to pull all the furniture and we would probably tackle the flooring. Again most of the cost is in the labor. The carpet is nailed with about a million nails.

We look for furniture that would fit in the specific location that you want something. We changed out a sofa bed for a dual reclining love seat and two chairs we changed out for different chairs then as our needs changed again we bought a little sofa for the dogs to be on. I have made different curtains too. There are lots of videos online for help and guidance.

@crawgator. Thanks for the info. I have looked at at a lot of videos that's why we felt pretty confident about the floors. We have thought about buying the used pieces. We were worried about matching pieces. We need a recliner ( although we are considering removing it permanently ) a sleeper sofa and dinette. Also figured the shipping might negate the savings. You are right though we need to revisit that thought. One of a very few RV salvage facilities is in the DFW area. Now for those pesky window boxes. Did you keep yours?

@Lace:
Did you ever think of putting a heavy duty sheet vinyl it is so easy to keep clean ?I'd think you could drive the RV to any upholstery shop & ask what they would charge to recover the sofa & chairs . Also there is a very nice thick vinyl floor that comes in strips like hardwood floors & I think any flooring company could lay that in your RV . Looks like wood floors very easy to care for . Just a thought
