A very close friend of ours son has trained there for years. Like 10. Everyone is just devastated. These kids are having a very hard time dealing with the whole the whole thing. Such a loss of trust.

Truly a tragedy for the kids. I hate to hear of kids having to deal with such things, well before the time they should.

Wow. No words.Well, maybe a couple...sad for the family members left behind who probably had no idea and who are innocent victims as well. Lots of unaddressed demons among us. You just never know. Sad this guy couldn't have just faced his, paid his dues and done something productive with the rest of his life as a result (assuming the allegations were true).Prayers to his family and friends (and alleged victim/s) left to pick up these horrific pieces. IMO, the ultimate act of selfishness.

As a survivor of child molestation the only people I feel sorry for r the people he hurt and his family. Admitting he may have touched her accidently and separating her from the other children is unacceptable! Killing himself is disgusting! JMO

@lynnsgirl: Agreed. I try really hard to be compassionate for everyone - but people like this, it's just very difficult.I do feel bad for the victim and her family, and also the suspect's family... but this guy? Nahhhhhh.

I am able to muster some compassion for abusers *sexual and other* (sometimes and as long as they are far, far away) as I believe many of them were victimized in their own childhoods and have suffered greatly as a result. In some cases, children are afraid to report abuse; in others, child abuse is tolerated by adults in the child's life for various sick reasons.I doubt this was his first victim.

@lynnsgirl: I am so sorry to hear that Lynn and thank you for coming forward and this is coming from a former victim of a vicious crime.

I talked with my daughter Karate instructor Master Demalia and he told me alot of this person students are coming over and resuming their training with them. I have a positive feeling many of the students will cope with this change and move on.

If there is any place that can care for and nurture them it will be TKS. My prayers will everyone impacted. This is just a very very tragic happening.

This is an issue that I didn't deal with until mid 20s! I'm not ashamed after years I found forgiveness bc hating him was only destroying my life! He had already taken my childhood and I refuse to give my future! I have no compassion for molestors! I love working with children it's what I do! It's a choice it's not for the money. I have always been very careful not to put myself in a questionable position while working with children. I have always been the neighborhood go to house for kids less fortunate r their parents worked full-time. I have a great compassion for children. It is very important to me to make sure children are cared for properly. There are many children that are molested that never overcome this circumstance. I for one chose not to be a victim for the rest of my life. I implement very strict rules with both of my daughters they do not spend the night with girls that have older brothers or I have any concern regarding the father in the home. Both of my daughters are very involved in sports I do not ever just drop them off and pick them up I stay very involved with my daughters and their coaches and the people that surround them. You must realize that these are the people that are supposed to protect them but take advantage of them when the opportunity arises because we as parents become complacent and trust too quickly.

I have some mixed fillings on this...First, only one side of the story has been told... the accused was not found guilty in a court of law. Life, with all its difficulties, is so precious that I don't understand why someone would chose to end it... unless he/she sees absolutely no other way out.Although I don't know anybody involved in this case, I'll refrain from passing any judgement, out of respect for the families, friends, students, etc. of both the student and the instructor.
