What do you think? $10.10 for working at McDonalds? So the value meal will turn into $5.00 for a double cheeseburger. Things are only going to get worse. I do agree and disagree. What are your thoughts.

@Donnie.B:

Obviously this isn't the case as others here have shown...

But if it was, at least on the bright side $10.10 might drastically reduce the chance of getting that extra "secret sauce"(that you don't know about) on your burger!!.. Emoticon

The key to employee efficiency is employee satisfaction, which equals good pay.

@nikkiole:

I don't know about that. Good pay doesn't equal employee satisfaction. That's just one component, and in research I've seen, not even the most important component.

Unless you work at a McDonald's (or its equivalent,ie Burger King,etc.) at a military base.

The lowliest fast food worker at any military installation will now make more per hour than the lowest paid soldier....E1 as it's designated in the Army.

That has merit. But, as an employee, your customer is your employer. Learn to make a positive contribution as an employee and you will have a satisfied customer/employer.

But you make a good point. The trick for an employer is identifying an employee's happy buttons. And I'll tell you that in numerous studies I've seen, pay is about fifth on the list for what makes for happy employees.

Consider that the increased labor rates, goes to higher bids and higher prices paid for services. The government will pay those higher rates with our tax dollars...or rather borrowed money...but as long as he has Republicans like Boehner and Cornyn....well borrow and give away there Mr President.
