To Whom It May Concern:

I am in the process of relocating to the North Houston area, and I am very interested in a Medical Billing and Coding position with your office.

Since 2007 I have been working for a medical billing company as the primary medical biller/coder for two family practice physicians. My responsibilities range from posting charges and payments, billing all relevant insurances, following up on pending/unpaid claims and appeals, to answering patient calls pertaining to their account. Prior to working for the billing company, I worked for an employer benefit broker firm for seven years. My responsibilities there ranged from helping clients resolve claims issues between clients and insurance companies, reconciling monthly billing issues, marketing various insurance companies, and HIPAA compliance.

I am extremely anxious to continue and further my career as a medical biller and coder. In 2010, I obtained my CPC coding certification which has helped tremendously in my current position. In addition, I took the ICD-10 exam this past December 2013 and passed. I would like to obtain a great position which will utilize and further my coding certification and knowledge as well as my billing experience.
